I use Armourall Exterem Tire Gel. IMO a dressing is only as good as you apply it. I work it into every crevice and boy does it shine. No slinging and the tires always look nice.

Too greasy for my tastes, but if you like it you like it. Have you tried the black magic matte? I've heard good things about that one.

Here is a little tip I learned to help make your tires look great:

Buy Bleech White. Its in a white spray bottle. Spray it generously all over the outside of your tires. Let it sit for a few minutes 2-4 minutes. I wouldnt personally let it sit any longer than 4 or 5 minutes......its pretty powerful stuff.
Then I use an old rag or wash mit and scrub the tires. You shouldnt have to do a whole lot of scrubbing. Even before you start scrubbing you will be able to see the bleech white working on taking off all the old tire shine/grease and the layer of grime.
After scrubbing make sure you hose off your tires and wheels real good.

There will be a definate noticeable difference.

If you want them to really shine then go ahead and apply your tire shine after rinsing off the bleech white and old grime. I have found that after being that clean most of the time they dont need tire shine.

no i haven't, but it looks like the matte after i drive thru rain. my tires for some reason are turning brown so when i put the shine on it takes it away. ive never had a vehicle's tires turn brown at all. except my 04 heritage's one tire was browning when i bought it. i put shine on it and the brown never came back. and i like the shiny look, when the light reflects off of the shine, it attracts attention to my truck, then they see the halos and they all point at my truck. i just need better wheels except these ones are good for not letting a lot of brake dust thru and onto the front rims.

I use either the Armor all extreme tire gel in the orange bottle and apply it with a sponge, or I have found the NXT Meguiars in the spray can works GREAT, but you use half the can on 4 tires when you have 20's and 33" tires! That stuff is like $8bucks a can!

another product which I recetnly tried was PoorBoys Bold and Bright.

Has a cleaner and dressing. I used while doing an ONR of the EXPY.

sorry no befores but if you need a nice dressing with no sling this one is also good.

Cleaned the wheels with ONR, then sprayed B&B used my brass wheel brush then took an old MF and wiped off .

Result

Wesley's Bleach White is the key. Awesome even if you dont have white letter tires.

And what kind of an idiot would apply tire dressing without cleaning the tire first?

When you have stock brake pads, all that effort in cleaning the tires is wasted within 10 minutes of driving.
