If the bumper is chrome, then you may use chrome polish.

I should have qualified that question with more options.......

Will a POLYMER SEALANT work on chrome?
I know some of these products are made for specific uses, I'm just curious if a "paint" sealant will work on metal, as well?

Because some of these "polishes" say do not use on "clear-coats" OR CHROME which is actually "chrome plated".................

You can use any standard "wax" on a chrome or clearcoated chrome bumper. I use bug and tar remover on my front bumper, then follow up with NXT 2.0.
