Megs Hot Shine. Nothing lasts longer out of a can for me.

To me, you could use almost anything. Tires are important to me because it is the finishing touch. I use Amrour All Extreme tire gel (laugh detailer pros ) and I have yet to see something that wins against it. However, I spend the time working it in to all the annoying lines on my sidewalls all through the lips ect. If you work it in well with no excess, this stuff is awesome and it lasts a while. I try to wash my truck once a week and it still looks good each time. I want to try Megs HD sometime, but you can't beat some of the over the counter stuff if done properly and it is worked in fully. Here's what I mean.

I've tried quite a few of the spray-ons, original Armor All, but the best for me so far is Hyper Dressing at full strength. I use a small kitchen sponge, and do all four tires with approx. 4 tbsp. total.
I usually use just a little Vinylx and not very often. You read a lot of posts from people who complaint that their tires are always dirty. This is because the slop all kinds of dressings on them. Put just a little, good quality rubber/vinyl dressing on the tires and it's easy to keep them clean. Of course they don't shine as much but if you want shine, you are probably going to gave gunk build up on them as well.
Hey tcope, if you use those silicone based products, yes, because that stuff is not water based, and a bitch to get off.
But I started using Hyper Dressing a couple weeks ago, and it will make your tires as wet and glossy looking as you like (or satin black too, depending on how you mix it) but it comes off fairly easily with soapy water and a brush.
Every few washings, you could use any tire and wheel cleaner, or Simple Green, followed by soap and water, if need be...
But just from my short experience with Hyper Dressing, I don't think I'm going to have near the problems with buildup of tire products, mixed with road grime, that I did before.... + the HD works quicker, and easier to boot !
Peace,
Fish
