If I were going to spend that kind of money I'd spend a bit more and get a DA. Orbitals are useless for anything except applying wax. If that's all you want one for, get a Harbor Freight cheapie.

"By following the detailed instructions that are included or watching the process with our Machine Polishing DVD, you can polish and wax your car quickly and safely. The random orbital (dual action) motion of the polisher prevents excessive heat and swirl marks. The results will astound you."

Try the Porter Cable 7424XP. $109.00 will get you a much better investment in a detailing polisher. The next step up would be a Flex XC3401VRG, or a Cyclo, but they're both closer to $300.

I thought I would re-visit this to tell you guys I tried the new 850 watt DA sampler model we have floating around and liked it so much I bought one. So much in fact I rarely use my rotary anymore. This thing is a beast and has just as much torque as a rotary without the worry of damage. Definitely worth the money:

I have a Flex and love the results. Have used it to take out scratches as well as apply wax to get a mirror finish. I have a milwaukee rotary and it wastes a lot of polish by throwing it everywhere. The flex is a hybrid of a DA/rotary. The head is forced to spin along with the DA action. It a well made tool. Dam germans at it again.
