2005 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro Detail

I detailed one of my friend's/boss's car for him today. Beautiful car but it was a bit dirty. There was road grime caked along the bottom and the wheels were gross. Total time was 5.5 hours. Here were my steps:

-Cleaned wheels, tires and Exhuast tips
-Wash: Megs shampoo and conditioner
-Clayed: Mother clay with Megs Ult. QD as lube
-Rinsed off residue after
-Applied paste Mothers cleaner wax
-Applied with ROB Mothers Sealer and Glaxe
-Applied Meg's step 3 in deep Crystal line
-Topped it off with a quick Meg's Ult QD
-Cleaned windows/mirrors with Stoner Invisible cleaner w/ rain repellent
-Cleaned inside window with Armour all Window cleaner
-Vaccumed interior and trunk and then Armour-all'd the interior and used some Mother's leather cleaner on seats

The car looked gorgous all cleaned up and with my work, picked up another detail job for hopefully next week Here are some before and afters... Enjoy

The last one is my favorite. It looks like a Audi catalouge pic.

Sorry for all this pics, but I tried to get some various angle shots

A tip for next time - don't use UQD as a clay lube. It's too expensive, and it actually is not as good a lube as standard cheap QD. UQD is designed to be used on finishes that have been waxed with a synthetic such as NXT 2.0. Using it on anything else is a waste of money.

The reason UQD is more expensive is it has polymers in it that can boost the polymers in a NXT 2.0 wax job. You really don't want to be putting polymers on when claying, and carnaubas don't really benefit from them.

If you want a "do-everything" product, look at getting some ONR. Rinseless wash, clay lube, QD - it does it all depending on how you mix it.
