Zymol

I understand everyone/most here are using the Mag. products.
Up till now i have been using Zymol. Of course, I also hadn't clayed my 96 Tahoe which was black. However, after washes, i found Zymol to leave the deepest shine (the darker the color the better), went on and came off with minimal effort and dust, and of the waxes/polishes i had used, covered swirls the best.
Just curious what the pro's here believe the pitfalls of Zymol are?

I like zymol. I initially switched away from zymol to meg's #26 since it dries clear and zymol dried very white and chalky and I sometimes had a knack for getting it on plastic trim. Now I prefer the look of my Natty's Red and Meg's #16 to zymol. But I still think zymol looks as good as #26 imho. Only other downside that I can think of is that it doesn't last very long. But in my experience it does last longer than #26 and possibly longer than Natty's. I still keep a bottle around.

Honestly, there are none. They make lower end stuff and WAYYYYYY high end stuff... That said, its more about the process and technique than the product. Shoot-- some people here (namely Boss_429, Gipraw, RockPick, and a few others) could make turtle wax look great...

As Mike Phillips from Meguiars often says, "Find something you like and use it often" ... regardless of what product line it is from.

I say if you're pleased with it, there is no need to change your system (well, I would say you should prolly clay it...) as detailing is ALL personal preference, albeit the preference of the judge at a competition, a customer, or yourself. As long as that person is pleased, no need to fix it when it aint broke.

I was thinking the only downfall I know of is that I also wish it would last longer, you confirm that. However, you also suggest the Megs doesn't last as long as you wish either.
I apply by hand, easy on easy off and does a great job on swirls...I guess we have to live with the idea that nothing is going to look as good as a fresh waxing for as long as we would like it to...lol
Thanks for the input!

I hear ya, as mentioned, i do my vehicles by hand and they always look great upon completion, just wish they would last longer that way.
I thought i would throw out the question, I keep an eye out for better products .
I would love to by the complete Megs kit with a buffer and get the results that some do on here, but of course, that is a considerable investment.
Thanks for your input!
