Question Window Squeals

My drivers window squeals (like glass on rubber) when rolled up or down. Any products that I can apply to stop this? I've tried silicone, rainx, etc... No Luck!

Seems like the rubber has dried out. Any advice? (my windows have custom tint on inside).

Usually that squeal is from tint glue or something sticky on the window. My Mustang did that, and when they cleaned the front windows before they tinted them, there was some old tint glue on the window still.

Did it do it before it was tinted as well, or just after?

I posted in your other thread already, but like I said, 1 window at a time squeaks, two windows doesn't, so maybe try two to ignore it.

Seems like you've used a bunch of stuff that adds more junk to the window surface. Have you tried wiping it a couple of times (on the outside only) with something like rubbing alcohol to remove anything on the surface that may be causing it to squeal?

Its probably when the windows get dirty on the exterior, it builds up as it slides up & down and dries the seals out. Goes along with roushstage2's theory.

Just throwing this out there: When I first had that happening on my Mustang and I took it to Ford, they told me to spray WD-40 inside the window to lube the tracks. It did nothing but make an oily mess on the window every time I rolled it up or down and it took many, many window cleanings for it to stop. If they suggest this (if you take it in), tell them to remove the door panel and spray the tracks, not the window.

Try CRC heavy duty silicone, marine grade. Lower window, apply in the tracks only. No oily mess. This is also the fix when the window doesn't want to close or closes slowly.
