Cleaning Carpet Floor Mats

My interior carpet is in serious need of some cleaning. I am planning on trying my Bissel on the carpets, but was wondering if it would be alright to throw my carpet floor mats in my washer and wash them. I have new washer that has a delicate setting on it I figured I could use. Anyone see any problem with this?

your better off to just take your water hose and just spray them out. I usually take mine and spray them off then use Meguiar's APC+, spray on them, then scrub them with a brush. You can sub any carpet cleaner for APC+. Just make sure you get them sprayed out completely and just drape them over a banister to dry.

Yeah guess that would be better. I was looking for an easy way out but guess I would be better off with your recommendations. Thanks for the inputs.

pressure washer, APC, and Oxyclean work wonders, but its a PITA in my opinion because they are always going to be dirty.

I switched to rubber mats for this reason, they look cleaner longer and are easier to clean

Yeah those are pretty nice, just don't have the funds to put into them right now. Will definately keep them in mind though.
