#80 is more aggressive, but it will finish down similar to SSR1 if used properly.

That makes #80 more versatile, if that's what you are looking for.

I have to defer to Boss here as he has way more experience than me. I mean WAY more. That being said, I think it comes down to how you use them too. I put 80 and SSR1 as being very similar in cut but pad choice does make a difference, however, that can also bite you by trying to push a product out of its capability by trying to make it more aggressive.

Don't get me wrong.... both are good products. #80 just happens to start out slightly more aggressive than SSR1... unless Steve has changed SSR1 in the last couple of years.

I actually find SSR2 to be closer to #80 in performance. Same thing goes for Menzerna Final Polish II and Mothers Power Polish... all very good products.

I think the products have changed a little. SSR2 is very aggressive.

With any of the SSR's you can put some on your finger and feel the "grit" if you will.

As for 80, I've tried it on many occasions where I ended up having to use something like Optimum or SSR1 b/c 80 couldn't cut it (pardon the pun)
