Showroom New Black Dye

The weather finally warmed up enough to apply my Showroom New black dye.

The fender flares on my 05 FX4 were absolutely terrible - pretty much all grey with spots of almost white.

I masked off the fender flares to make any cleanup easier, (the dye doesn't stick to paint however, so any dye on the paint won't ruin anything.) I then used a small foam brush and 15 minutes later, I was done all 4.

I'm extremely happy with the results and it couldn't have been any easier to use. 2 big thumbs up for Showroom New Black Dye!

That looks great. That may be what I need. Keep us updated on how it holds up to rain/washing/dew.

Its a permanent dye, so it will not fade or discolor with rain or washing - that's the beauty of it.

I think there is a little bit because I used a brush. If it doesn't look 100%, I'll just put another coat on it.

I bought it direct from Showroom New for $12.95 and judging how much I used on my flares, the amount will last me forever.

Nice job, you'll make Ticman proud as I think he is the pioneer of using that stuff round these parts.

i have this stuff and i used it on my oem textured door handles. it has held up for the past 2 months , but its starting to fade and the streaks are more noticeable as time has passed.. if you re-apply once every 2 months or so you shouldnt have any problems.

This stuff sounds like it may work for me. I'll have to check ADS when I put in my order.

For as little effort as this took, that wouldn't be a problem to me.

Thanks for the heads up.

I thought about getting some to put on my bed caps. Guess I will have to go ahead and place an order.

Put a quick second coat on today and they look even better. There were some minor streaking with just one coat, but the second seems to have taken care of that.

Yea this stuff is awsome, I used it on my bed caps. You are going to have to reapply every 2-3 months though. Best product for the money right here!

I applied BW to my trim and the wife's trim (that doesn't sound good does it?) about 3 weeks ago...both cars have been washed around 6 times each and we had several days of rain....the trim still looks like the day I put it on. No running no streaking. Water beads off. Granted BW and TR are do different products.

Tip for BW: A little goes a looooonnnng way.

You will be shocked to see how little the bottle is.

I have applied it twice on my wiper cowl and all of the door handles and I still have almost 3/4 of a bottle left. A little does go a very long way.
