The Moderator's Choice Award Goes To...

It's a tie...

BigDeal

&

MaxTorque02

CONGRATS TO THE MODERATOR'S CHOICE AWARD RECIPIENTS!

--------------------------------------------

Thanks to everyone who entered! I'd have to say that there wasn't a single vehicle in the contest that wasn't worthy of a top 3 finish in my honest opinon. All of the trucks showed that there are some folks out there putting a LOT of hours into their finish! Great job folks!

I look forward to hosting another Best Shine Award in the very near future. As was mentioned, the next award may or may not feature a specific feature of your truck (ie: up close of your hood, best looking wheels, etc...)(I'm open for suggestions in the Comments thread).

Thanks again for playing and... goodnight.

RP

Congrats Terry, that's one fine looking Lightning you have.

RockPick,

That means a lot to me that you selected mine as one of the recepients of the Moderators Choice Award. Like some have mentioned, white's a difficult color to really stand out, but hopefully my hard work has shown that it can be done. Here's a closer look of the hood. This was in the shade and it still showed some pretty decent depth. With white, you tend to get a deep milky look as compared to other colors.

My process is:

Clay with mothers clay
Meguiars DACP
S100 SEC
Meguiars #7
S100 Wax

To keep it looking fresh, I use Meguiars Final Detail

Great job by everyone involved as there were some very fine looking trucks.

Just curious, Terry if you respond to your winning can you clarify that you truck is not an L. Maybe it is just me, but I see a window behind the door, and as far as I know Ls never came in extended cabs. Just curious?

Congrats either way.

Congratulations to Terry, BigDeal, and MaxTorque02.

Everyone who participated can be proud of the care they take in their vehicles. I am looking forward to the next contest.

Yes, congratulations to Terry, BigDeal, and MaxTorque02. It was really great to see all of the great looking trucks in the contest, and will be better to see even more in the future ones. Before I bought my 2004, I never thought there was so much work behind washing/waxing a vehicle, until I came across this forum. Boy was I wrong, after reading and following the threads you guys post, I learned a lot over these past few months. Thanks guys.

Congratulations to Terry, BigDeal, and MaxTorque02, fine looking trucks indeed as well as the rest of them…

Sleddogg:

I don’t think Terry ever claimed his truck to be an L. In his profile it is listed as a 1997 extended cab XLT and it does have the F150 badges on the front quarter panel. I think it’s a fine looking truck with some money in it in aftermarket parts and very tastefully done…

Nice job guys! Now I've got to start detailing the hell out of my truck and find a suitable location to photograph it so that the Oxford White looks as good as it does in person. You guys really gave me something to shoot for. Again, great job and congratulations to the winners!

Wow, good observation. It does have a window in the back. Regardless, it's one nice looking truck and maybe Ford should consider building an extended cab Lightning. Terry just showed them what it would look like, and it's awesome.

Yes, nice truck indeed. Ford should consider a ext cab L.. but they do have the HD version (4doorL). But I wish theyd just do ext cab w/ style side

Again congrats to all winners. I cant wait for next event, will be fun to participate and look at everyones babies.
