Repairing a key mark...
BOSS, ROCKPIC Help...
Some lowlife (probably a chevy or toyota driver) keyed my tailgate I now have a nasty 2-3 inch scratch on the tailgate that looks to go down to the primer but not the metal...
Have I read the instruction correctly...
Get some JL paint and some clear coat
1. Wash, dewax (dawn)
2. clean and degrease
3. Tape off area
2. lay the color into the scratch with a toothpic? how long to cure?
3. Clear over the top, how long do you wait before wet sanding?
4. Wet sand with 2000 grit on a pencial eraser
Now what product do I use to polish the dull area after wet sanding?
Maguires #9 or something else?
Then how soon before you can wax the spot...
