Question Aerospace 303 ok for hoses under the hood?

I know it’s a great product for tires especially RV’s campers etc that sit for long periods of time but just want to check to insure it is just as good for the hoses under the hood. I would “think” rubber is rubber but maybe there is a difference.

If 303 is not that answer then what is good for keeping the hoses under the hood clean and in good condition?

I've been using it on my underhood details since the truck was new with great results. I don't think you should have any issues using it there.

You're just looking for a 'dressed look' correct 01? I ask because you almost seem to allude to the 303 being a good cleaning agent and I don't believe it's meant to be used in the capacity.

If you are just looking for the dressed/protected look, 303 is fine...

Thanks BigDeal…

RockPick yes that is all I was looking for was the dressing itself and not cleaning. I have read many places including here that there are some products that are not good for use on rubber even though they make them nice and shinny.

Not really looking for shinny, but didn’t want to use something to keep the hoses looking good that may prematurely degrade them either.

So now I feel comfortable with using the 303. I bought some last summer for my pop-up trailer tires.

Thanks bro…

That's why I like to use bacon grease under my hood! It's totally biodegradable and protects/shines like no other!

01 XLT Sport, the products that damage ruber and plastic are solvent based products, which 303 is not. It is perfectly safe for use under the hood and anywhere else.

It is my personal favorite dressing... too bad it's so expensive.

Yesterday, I tuned up my wifes expy. Next to the power washer someone left a bottle of Simple Green. I sprayed the engine down and power washed it. When I got home, I popped the hood to check the tranny fluid level. I was very impressed, everything was very clean and all hoses and black trim had that super clean black look.
