Chewing Gum on Seats

Ok, I haven't had to tackle this issue before, but now I do thanks to my 6 year old. What's the best way to get dried chewing gum off of leather seats? I want to get it off of the seats (obviously) without doing any damage.

Ideas????????????

I've had to remove some once. I' picked off most of the gum, then used a drafting eraser (white ones from Staples) to get the residual off. I also followed up with a good leather cleaner and conditioner.

Use an ice cube to freeze the gum (makes it hard and brittle) may take more then a few minutes then the gum will crumble (chip) off and shouldn’t leave any marks. Just keep the ice on the gum till it feels brittle. You could put the ice cube in a plastic bag and sit it right on top of the gum (might have to put some cloth around the plastic bag to keep it in one spot) and check on the gum every few minutes until it feels brittle…

Works for cloth seats as well...

What about a dry ice gum remover do you think that would be bad for cloth seats?
