ASAP. Any wax that is not abrasive, look for "safe for clear coats", Meguiers is always good.

The paint on your truck can be waxed anytime. When I get a new vehicle, I clean it inside and out and thoroughly wax it as soon as possible. You need to remove all of the Goober prints. Real life example: Goober fills brake fluid....brake fluid drips on fender....Goober wipes it into paint with shop rag....brake fluid damages fender paint....Goober's hands transfer brake fluid on to new leather steering wheel.

By goober, are you referring the service techs where you bought your truck?

Yes, but Goober could be synonymous with many people: the assembly line workers (tools in back pocket), the delivery transporter (rusty chains in hands included), the make ready tech ("I'll show them how to break this thing in"), the salesmen (ok, these guys are too easy), or all the people that test drove it ("Daddy, I lost my lollypop"). Seriously, there's never been a vehicle delivered that doesn't have filth in and on it.

I got a coat of Meguiars polish and two coats of NXT "wax" on the truck in my first three weeks of ownership. Just waiting for some nice weather and some time to wash it again and get a few tops coats of #26 wax on it as well. The point is, it is never too soon to wax, especially with the summer heat not too far away.

The NXT will look awesome on your black/beige truck. If you can top a couple of coats of the NXT with #26, you will be extremely pleased!
