Saskatoon or Regina ?

Hey, I'm moving east, I'm so looking forward to putting Calgary in my rear view mirrior ( I grew up in Calgary )

I'm curious as to the rental rates and job prospects out east, I can afford the hit in wages as the cost of living here in Calgary is out stratching my means of earning a living.

I live just east of Regina.

If you are looking to buy a house in Saskatoon good luck. They are going through what Calgary went through last year. My cousin who lives in Warman, about 15 mins North of saskatoon, put there house up for sale and with 2 hours, yes 2 hours, they sold their house for $16,000 more than their asking price, yes once agian $16,000 more than their asking price. There is a new sub division being built just out side of saskatoon and the lots are starting at $168,000 just for the lot.

I couldn't tell you about rental rates though if you are seriously interested in moving go to www.306motorclub.com and there are alot of people from saskatoon on thier that will let you know about the rental rates there.

As for Regina my buddy is paying $600 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment in a really good nieghbourhood which includes water and sewer.

Thanks....I'm paying 850.00 for a one bedroom apt, my rent has gone up 300.00 a month in a year and a half, Most one bed rooms are running over a grand, 2 bedroom condo's over 250 grand...

I'm not at a home a lot, I wrk up in Northan Alberta and basicly my 60,000 a year is not cutting the bacon.

Saskatoon has some not great area's ( near the hospital ) and I don't want to move to a smaller place due to lack of employment..
