XM or Sirius in Canada

Thought I would post this here for the Canadian opinion. I would like to get satellite radio for my truck. I am tired of the commercials and talk on the radio. I live near Vancouver so we get a ton of stations but not enough music. I am leaning towards XM with the NHL stations as opposed to Siruis which has more NBA coverage. I assume the music stations are quite similar.

I don't have an answer for you cause I don't have either one, but one friend of mine has XM and always listens to the Opie and Anthony Show, says it pretty funny, Sirius has Howard Stern which I think is a similar kinda show (not sure though). I would think both have more music stations than you could ever sick of.

My question though is what is the diff between the US and Canadian versions of both XM and Sirius other than the addition of the French stations (which are useless to me)?

I have Sirius up in Kamloops. It was a Christmas gift so I didn't have the option of Sirius or XM and didn't bother doing the research on the channels but am not dissapointed. I love it! Both stations have 3 day trials but you have to note which stations are available in Canada as I noticed Canadian Sirius has about 20 less channels than American. The only time I've lost signal here in the valley was pulling into a gas station under the concrete ceiling.
