Hi Joe Welcome!

Interesting questions. I dont know alot about the PCM...most of what i know comes from info. on the "computer chip bd" and Haynes manual or similiar.

The PCM is programmed for each specific engine/drivetrain, etc. You may know..each has a "specific code" Some have same code, some dont.

So, unless the replacement pcm has same code...seems to me it will not work, however if it should chances are it won't work properly?

Anyhow...you need a "pcm guru"....im not one.

Good luck...OT
