Thumbs up No one has a tip or trick?!!

I can't believe that no one has a little tip or trick to share with everyone. OK, I'll go first. Let me see.....

I built a Canoe Carrier out of 2" square tube and it simply goes into my trailer hitch receiver. It stands up vertically even with the top of my cab. The canoe rests on it and on the cab with special soft rubber canoe supports. The canoe is strapped down to both the canoe rack and to the truck cab. The rack can be removed in about 15 seconds when you're through with it. And, it can be used to support the rear of a canvas tent if you want to sleep in the back of your truck bed. Works great!!

There's your tip or trick. Who can beat it???!!!

Wink Oh, I got a great one!

My current tip of the week: Make sure you marry a woman who has an uncle with a 2,000 sq.ft. personal shop, with a lift that handles your truck, and a $15k industrial lathe to make a custom tool, and a desire to do s-hit for the h-ell of it if it involves a drivetrain, when you need to rebuild a 3.73 LS Dana to pop your cherry on maintaining a rear end, no pun intended, not that there's anything wrong with that!!! (Actually, could have gotten by without any of the good stuff, but it sure made life a lot easier!)

Actually, Bill, if you look, you will see that this is in 'The Buyer's Corner' and if you go back further than the 30-day default setting for the forum, folks have posted all sorts of stuff about saving money.

Nice idea, though, for the canoe rack!

Thumbs up

I've lifted my back seats with 1" square tubing to fit my subs under and it worked great. I'v also read where someone lifted their front seats using 1" tubing too.
