Cool F150 Supercrew Pricing

Wanted to share my very enjoyable buying experience. Didn't have to deal with a salesman I went directly to the fleet dealer at Ford. Tips for buying
1. Go to KBB (kelly blue book) find out the true invoice price for the vehicle versus dealer price.
2. Go to the fleet dealer at the dealership with the invoice price. Pay only 2% over the invoice price. With ford it is usually 2 %.
The vehicle and all the options were at invoice price. If that paticular dealership will not give you the invoice price go to another, DON'T I repeat DON'T give in and pay dealer price. Pay invoice price through the fleet dealer. You'll save around $3500. The site I started the pricing with was www.cfminc.com check it out.

Thumbs down

Take a look through "Trucks Costs" section. F150 is the most popular vehicle on the face of the earth......you should have been able to buy below invoice!!! The most anyone I know ever paid for an F150 was $100 over "invoice", and check out what invoice really is!!

2% over "invoice" is what's paid for vehicles without dealer hold back like BMW, etc. (Ford dealers get 3%, 4.25% for Ford Blue oval dealers). They must have loved you coming through the door...hope atleast you have good luck with the vehicle.

Same here. Got invoice prices from Edmunds, then faxed 14 different Ford dealers in my area, asking for a fleet bid. (Did it on my company letterhead to imply a corporate purchase). Got responses from about 8 or so, with three offering to sell at invoice, no hassel. Found the one I wanted at another dealer and told them to either match the other dealers or I would leave. They did and I got a great deal.

I am with Mr. Bill, too much competition to pay much over invoice. A Blue Oval dealer still makes the 4.25% holdback, so they do okay. (Bought mine in Bristol, TN at a Blue Oval Dealer)

Good luck!

I don't get people who will not negotiate with car dealers. I just ordered a new Screw and am paying $228.00 ( .6 %) over invoice. Maybe I'm dealing with the right dealer but I would never pay more than 1 % over invoice for any vehicle. Everythings negotiable! When spending over Thirty Thousand for a truck why give them a tip on top of it?
