Question abs light came on today on my '98

so i was driving down the road today, and i came around the corner and saw a stop sign. i had to hit my brakes kinda hard, and i felt a jerk and it felt like the brakes let up a little(i might have accidently let up a little). i look down and my abs light is on. i made the stop in time, then made it to the parking lot. i turned the ignition off and popped the hood to check the fuse. i couldnt find the fuse for the abs, so i went back and tried starting the truck again. this time the abs light didnt turn on(but i didnt drive it). that stop wasnt the fastest stop i've made. over the past year, i've had to slam on my brakes hard enough to lock up the rear wheels twice, but the front abs worked fine. i just wanna make sure my abs isnt gonna die again when i really need it. thanks in advance.

Check the ABS sensor on top of the rear diff, common to go especially after 10+ yrs. To make sure you can test the resistance but even still they are only like 20 bucks and is more than likely the problem.

I will occasionally get the ABS light when I take a corner too hard.
It is off at the next start up.

I use the ABS light as an indicator for 'HEY, YOU'RE DRIVING LIKE A JERK!'.
