2000 F150 4x4 - Rear Brakes

So, I'm going through this truck in preparation for a trip and brakes were on the menu. They were grabbing a bit when I picked up my TT and the guy reminded me again, "you really need to fix that". So diving in today, I see the pads are fairly worn. I removed the caliper, then the rotor and noticed there was axle lube all over the place.

I continued to inspect by draining the rear diff, setting the cover aside and proceeded to remove the locking pin, small gears and c-clip and popping the axle out. The seal's toast but the axle shows no scoring. A trip to the parts store and I picked up new pads, rotors, parking shoes, and seals.

So, it's a good idea to pull them rear rotors and check if your mileages is getting up there. I'm sitting at 78,000 right now.

Well, back at it..
