brake problem

at low speeds i hit the brake pedal and it starts to slow down and then abs applies on perfectly dry ground at slow speeds where theres chance of the wheels locking up any ideas whats goin wrong by the way its on an 2002 f 150 with the 4.6 litre fx4 thanks

Sounds like an ABS issue... have a dealer/shop check the fault codes. Might be a speed sensor, might be the ECU
