Loadhandler?

Anyone have any ideas, or have used one of those loadhandlers? I was thinking about getting one to unload mulch. It looks like (from what I can see in the ad) it attaches to the tailgate and you crank it to unload whatever is in your truck. It runs about $100. Is it a waste of money?

I've not used one, but saw one being used on that "Shade Tree Mechanic" TV show awhile back. Seemed to work pretty good. I think they were using it with gravel. I'm pretty sure you need to have a plastic drop in liner too. You can't have a spray in. Or, if you do, you'll have to lay something down to let the tarp slide on.

I have a buddy that owns a landscaping service and bought one for his truck. His has held up well to the almost daily use and he said it has really helped his back. Good luck, Rich.

It would be useful if the object was to unload the bed as quickly as possible.
I just picked up some mulch last weekend, two yards fills a shortbed to the rails and you can handle three if you cover it.
I drove the truck around to the areas for application then shoveled directly to a wheelbarrow.

Unless I could have put the tailgate right where I wanted the mulch I don't see how the loadhandler could have worked for me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as lazy as the next guy but, I would have been cranking it out of the bed then loading the wheelbarrow.
