Just a quick story. My buddies dad took 2 new chevy fullsize pickups from his company to the a local national brand spray in bedliner independent dealer (not going to tell you the brand because it is not their fault) to have liners sprayed in.
Well the bedliner dealer, who has been around for a while, some how botched the job on one of the trucks. No problem, he decided to remove the liner and respray it.
Well he tried useing an air chisel to remove it and punched holes through the new truck bed a number of times (over 5). You will love this. The bedliner dealer has no insurance or means to pay for a new truck bed.
I guess the morale of the story is ask if they are insured, and gaurantee there work. Hopefully nothing like this happens to any of you!
He should have tried something different after the first hole was made. How is it he doesn't have the means to repair the damage? Replacing the bed shouldn't be necessary, if a liner is going in anyway just weld up the holes, grind 'em smooth (don't let the installer do this he's obviously not good with power tools
) then spray the bed. If it's done right you'll never know the damage occurred.
