I think I am gonna blow my lid....

Just went outside and was getting ready to wash my truck, my new 2006 Supercrew Lariat, and noticed Line-X overspray on the outside of my bed. Has anybody dealt with this problem before? Guess I will be making a trip back to the dealer in the AM...oh my I need a beer.

chill out! first of all, how much is there? it happened to me as well, i have a silver truck so it was very noticeable... just rub your fingers over it and it comes right off... they have to apply a special coating to your bed in order for it to stick, otherwise it will just rub right off.

Well, I am chilled out...and I rubbed my finger over it and it didnt come off...This dealers customer service was excellent so I have no doubt that they will take care of the problem, but it was quite a shock to see it on the fender in the first place...but I guess crap happens...lol. Thanks for the response though and I forgot to ask if yours had cured yet when you rubbed it off? This has only been on the truck for 10 days or so and hopefully it will come right off. Take care...

I can understand your reaction...I'm sure with a chemical application it can be removed....I'm sure they'll take care of you.

My dealer has been nothing but great

I'm a LINE-X dealer.

Don't worry, it can be removed with no damage to your paint/clearcoat. Take it back to the LINE-X dealer if you know where the shop is or take it back to the Ford dealer.

Just to update this old thread, after tyhe quick response I got, I called my Line-X dealer and they were super nice and told me to bring it right in and they would take care of it. Before I did that though, I did a little searching on here and figured out that if I was careful I could easily do this myself, which I was able to do. The line-X came right off without leaving and scratches/residue at all. Thanks to all the guys that offered suggestions...was much appreciated.
