Bed Liner Tie Down Cap

I'm not sure if I'm describing this correctly, I have a crack in the tie down cap, the plastic cap that the tie down is bolted through in my bedliner. Is this something that I can get a replacement from Ford?

OK, I think you're talking about the stake hole covers that are on top of the rails. If so, I'm pretty sure you can buy a replacement.

If you take your cracked one into the parts department and give them a sad look, they may give you one, if they have an extra sitting around. Some of them become overstressed when fully tightened. To preserve your new one, put an oversized nut that will slip over the bolt's threads between the plastic cup and the bed. This will relieve the pressure by 1/4" or so. Do the driver's side and the passenger's side; now it's 1/2".

My tie down buckets cracked on my Ford dropin bedliner and the dealership got me some new ones. Now the new ones are starting to crack as well. I think I'll be replacing my bedliner soon...

Bed Lines Tie Down Caps

Customer Service the way it should be...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had a problem with the bed caps cracking on my factory liner, called a local Ford dealer and explained the problem to him. He puts me on hold, to check for the part, comes back and says that he has the part in stock. I than ask "How much?" Just stop by and I'll give them to you. I asked, them? He stats that they come in packs of two with the hardware, and that that I can just come by and pick them up. Wow! I know the part doesn't cost much, but its the idea behind the way I think customer service should be.
