Howdy , Guys...
I got my DualComp installed on my '06 SCREW. Install went good ; I used somebody's advise and used double-sided tape to help keep the sides really tight. The sides fit good / sound good (no flapping). By far , the toughest part was geting all T-30 screws out of the tiedowns
My question is regarding the end/rear of the sides . On my truck, the trailing end/edge of poly sides aren't too close to the truck bed ; there's a corner molded in, after it comes around this corner, I've got a gap of prob 3/4 -1" , on both sides . Are y'alls like that? Currently, I got a couple of pieces of pvc pipe wedged in there ( longways/horizontal ; just in front of the tailgate ). I'm hoping I can bend the sides in some. Once I do that, anybody have any advise on how to 'seal' the ends? I can just imagine all the dirt and crap that would creep into even a small opening. I'm thinking rtv ( prob ultrablack) , or maybe even doublesided tape. any ideas on an flexible adhesive w/good 'tensile strength' ( or whatever that 'pulling' strength is) ? I don't want to use JB weld or epoxy I don't think.
Did you tuck the top rear corners under the bed rail cover? That's the way it's designed, although the directions were written by someone that didn't include that little detail.
Dirt getting behind isn't an issue, gravity deals with most of it and because the sides don't move around it really isn't an issue. Polyethylene is pretty slippery, so adhesives don't hold very well. If you really want to stick it in place, to get better adhesion, you could "flame treat" the sides by "kissing" them with a torch... just enough to make a matte finish (not much more that flashing the flame accross the part). This is not something I would necessarily recommend and only do it if you are really set on sticking the sidewalls in.
You might wait a week or two - sometimes being in the box flexes the parts and a few sunny days will let them relax to their proper shape.
thanks for the reply... I left my pvc poles in place for a couple of days, and it seems to have done the trick. the liner sides are now flush w/the bed side ; problem solved/resolved.
Could you let me know when the side panels are redesigned to include the divider slots? I use that feature and would like to have it included in the DualComp when I purchase it. Thanks.

I'll post here when it's done, that way everyone will know right away. I have to have the casting analyzed to be sure there is enough material to remove without screwing up the cooling lines.
It will take a few months for the old style to move through inventory, I'd guess summertime before we are back into them. Worst part of building up a company, you have a balancing act between inventory and economies of scale.
