Drilling truck bed for Motorcycles

Has anyone drilled through the floor of thier truck bed to install an eyelet in order to transport two motorcycles in the bed? I measured it out and it looks like its no problem to install the eyelet right in the front center of the bed. Once you get through bed it looks like there is one more thin "support" type piece about an inch and half below the bed. Though I would post here before I started drilling!

i have drilled lots of holes in my bed for tool box and to mount a 11 gal air tank underneath it is thin sheet metal i had no problemes drilling threw it so you should be ok, i would use large washers to distribute the weight better so it dont bend or pull out the fastener when you crank down the bike, good luck
