Angry faded Rhino liner

Anyone know of something I can do to restore the color to my Rhino Spray in bedliner? Had it done in Feb. of this year. Red to match my truck. Now orange. Of course the local dealer has shut down operations so my warranty is useless. Any help would be appreciated. I would stay away from colored liners from Rhino.

I haven't been terribly impressed with my rhino lining. My black is turning grayish. I used a product my rhino lining dealer recommended called "just once" that actually worked for a little while, but next time I washed it the black stuff practically washed away with it and within a few weeks it was back to its dull color again.

Hi Saftrep,
I'm a Rhino dealer and have been one for 6yrs, I know exactly what your talking about. Most of the time the "faded" liners are just dirty esp. when it comes to black, this may or may not be your problem. First thing I'd do is clean the liner w/the stiffest nylon brush you can find, scrub the liner w/reg car soap and rinse w/a high pressure (1000psi or more @ the car wash will work)hose. Rhino now sells a new formula of Rhino Shine that is actually a temp clear coat that lasts for about 6mo and protects it from the sun, use that after you clean it to bring the color out. If that doesn't work any rhino dealer can fix the problem permenantly in about a day. I actually try to explain this to my customers when they are deciding on a color, sorry your local dealer didn't talk about this when you purchased your liner.
Mattadams- the just once product you used probably just picked up some of the dirt came off black when you washed it, cleaning it first will help. The "new" Rhino Shine seems to last longer.
This is not an ad for Rhino, just wanted to help.
Good Luck

What is a super liner? I looked into spray on liners awhile back and never got one. I was thoroughly unimpressed with Rhino. Every single one I've ever seen is horribly faded, regardless of color. Scrubing and high pressuring the color back into it is a little more than I think most people want to do for what's supposed to be an easy maintenance, long lasting product.

Question

Question,
can you name anything that doesn't change in some way in the weather?(and don't say ss steel because changes too)
Can you name anything that doesn't get dirty when you put it outside?
ALL bed liners will weather when you put them outside and they will all get dirty and need cleaning.

Just something to think about.

well I tried what you recommended. Scrubbed it real good using a hard nylon brush and even a thick wire brush in some spots where it was really brown. Soaped and rinsed using regular car wash stuff, then soaped it again and rinsed using the high-pressure stuff at the pay car wash. Then dried it out and used some of the leftover stuff I had from protecting it the first time (don't want to pay megabucks if I don't have to). It seems more black for now, I guess we'll let time be the teller...
