Ford Bedliners

When I bought my truck last week, part of the deal was that I was supposed to get a Ford bedliner at cost, which I assumed to be what the dealer paid Ford for it. The dealer admits they said this, but now says that I must pay internal sales department cost for it which I think is BS.

A the dealer I bought my truck from, the parts dept pays for the bedliner, then marks up the price and transfers it to the accessories dept, which again marks it up and sells it to the sales dept. They said it would cost me 279.00 I know this is BS.

Can anyone tell me what a bedliner for a 2001 F150 short styleside box should cost the dealer???

A Ford bedliner for my wife's 2001 SuperCab Styleside (short bed) was around $200 (plus tax) at my Ford dealer. This price included installation. If you are paying more than $200, I think you are paying too much.

The Ford liners are Duraliner brand with Ford logo added. Check out other vendors. I have the Duraliner and am happy with it...less than 200 installed

I paid $125 to have mine installed when they were preping my truck for pickup. That was Feb 2000. It is the Ford labeled Durakron liner and it works well and has good cleats for tie-downs.

I used to have a 98 shortbed styleside. I bought it in Arlington, TX. After we had agreed on a price for the truck, I told them that I'd do it if they threw in a bedliner. They agreed and put in a Duraliner with the Ford logo. No cost to me (well, no more than I had agreed to before). It's really nothing to them if you think about it - they throw in a $200 bedliner on a $20,000 truck and they make a happy customer.
