Thoughts on Lund Genesis Roll Up?

In the market for a roll up tonneau for my new XLT w/ 5.5 ft bed. Just looking for thoughts from anyone out there that has a Lund Genesis Roll Up tonneau cover? Or any other velcro tyhpe roll up for that matter. I had a Seal and Peel on my last truck, I think the velcro would suit my needs better.

-Thanks

What did you not like about "seal and peel" style? Is that where there is no Velcro or "fastener" other than a plastic edges which you align with a groove in each side rail, then pull tight until they "snap" (or rather "pop") closed from tension alone?

Exactly, The seal and peel was a plastic strip that locked into the metal frame along the edges. It was very secure and easy to undo. The thing I did not like about it is when it was rolled up, due to the plastic strip, it was not tight at all. Looking at the roll up ones with velcro, they roll up very tightly and give full access to the bed.

I have typically been disappointed with all velcro applications after long-term use. The hook and loop system gets dirty, or often just wears out, thereby losing effectiveness. Not so with the seal and peel ala plastic freezer bag-type seal.
YMMV.

Good luck

My brothers and dad have them on their trucks, never had an issue. I can understand what CWCobra said, esp under heavy use. I think you'll be fine
