Depends on bed size and if you are getting the Xtra/color matching. I also paid 425+tax last summer in Wisconsin. 485+tax sounds decent. If you are getting the Xtra or color matching that's a great price. Prices vary all around the country.
I've had Line-X in both my F150 and my 2005 Dodge Dakota. I have managed to spill battery acid on both and they were completely undamaged. I will always get Line-X first after buying a new truck. If you plan on using your truck as it was intended I'd get Line-X.
I'm not going to get it in my F250 because it came with a drop-in when I got it and I don't care much. The slick surface of the drop in is nice there because I can slide around the salt bags much more easily during the winter.

Line-X definitely. Not in my current truck (yet), but it's definitely worth it. My friend got his done a few months ago for around $350...but then he's the type that goes to return a faulty product and the store manager winds up giving him 2 replacements and a gift card just to escape...so...$485 sounds reasonable

If if the Rhino dude is selling Tuff Grip (most common), then LINE-X has a 31% higher tear strength, a 53% higher tensile strength, and a 25 degree higher temperature tolerance. That info is from the technical data sheets. So, using that info, LINE-X pretty much blows Rhino away as far as strength goes.
