the FoldaCover (FAC) sits on top of the bed rails while the Bakflip (BF) sits flush with the bed rails. The BF folds up completely and rests against the rear window giving 99% complete access to the bed, while the FAC folds up and stacks on the bed rails giving ~75% bed access. The BF does not have any exposed keyholes or latches (unlike the FAC) that you have to worry about freezing in winter or theives trying to break open.

Both are great covers. The only main FAC advantage I see is that the front or rear cover panels open independently and without having to open the tailgate first. The HD cover you have to open the tailgate first in order to release the latch on the underside of the cover.

Make sure that FAC is the new G4 elite version.

as you know I got the HD cover at a comparable price. I also have an electronic tailgate lock so my bed is completely secure now all the time and there's no latches or keyholes to worry about on the cover like I mentioned above.

I also have a Bakflip with an electronic tailgate lock installed...It really is a great combo...Very clean lines, secure, versatile and very easy to install
