that looks very much like textured aluminum so you must have got the HD cover, or even a G2. The current G2 shipping from the factory is now aluminum too, so the 2 covers are basically the same until the new SD cover comes out in a few weeks. the place I got my HD cover is offering a special on this G2-HD upgrade aluminum cover. contact me for the details.

I think I mentioned this somewhere, but I'll repeat it.

According to Bak, the differences between the G2 and HD are:
1. The G2 goes through a one-stage priming process and the HD goes through a two-stage process. I have no idea what effect this has regarding the final product, but....
2. The HD's inner core is "slightly more rigid" than the G2's inner core.

^yes I've seen that before, but my insider's info says they are using the same inner core for right now.

Good to know. I actually emailed Bak and they responded with that information. Doesn't sound like there's enough of a difference to justify the higher price of the HD.

Hey thanks for the info. I have problems with mine I bought mine last year and it always coming loose from rail. I paid lots of money for a product that sucks! Mine doesn't even close right I have adjusted it many times and still does not close right!
