There is no way my tailgate mat in this kit will { Protecta # 6945 } line up on my 09 tailgate . Makes me think that Ford might have done a re-do on the inner panel tailgate stiffeners starting with 09 ? My gate inner panel has 12 concave type stiffeners pressed into it for strength. I emailed Dualliner, no reply as yet ?

No, I got an "automated reply " saying they would be on vacation till this Monday { 10-19-09 } and would then reply ......we'll see ? I have called several local 4 wheel / truck stores, and they say they're having the same issue with the '09 / '10 F150 tailgates being different and no listings

News .... ......I compared the inner tailgate panel on my 2009 to my buddies 2007 to see why my Protecta # 6945 Bed / Tailgate set for 1997 -on F150 tailgates DOES NOT LINEUP ? The bed mat is fine, and fits like a glove , the tailgate inner panel on my 2009 has 12 "concave style " vertical stiffeners . My buddies 2007 has 11 " concave style " vertical stiffeners . So the placing of any attachment holes / screws is different and despite what several people and at least 1 distributor has told me ...the inner tailgate panel design has been ever so slightly changed for 2009 / 2010 ...enough that earlier tailgate mats will not fit correctly on the newer trucks Sugarbear

I just had confirmed that there are some differences in the new F150 tailgates. The manufacture is working on a new mold for that application but it is not currently available yet. Do you want to return the tailgate mat for refund?
Thank You,

I received this reply from Truck Specialties Inc. confirming there IS a difference in the tailgates on later model F150's

So I got a tailgate mat to match the bed mat I already have, the protection is there but I'm disappointed with how much the mat expands/contracts with the weather we got goin on this time of year. I put it on snug and now with these warm days/freezing nights it sort of raised itself up. We'll see how it behaves as it gets colder. Here's a pic:

I've had a rubber mat in my 2004 for 6 years. Left it in during washing and no problems. I just bought a new rubber mat for my 2010 KR. I love them. They work great.
