I'm in the market for an '06 XL. Any idea, ball-park, what it'll cost me to get a Line-X spray-in for it? The one I'm looking at has a Bed Rug at the moment.
I have experience with SpeedLiner, Rhino, and Line-X. Line-X is the CLEAR winner and Rhino is absolute CRAP.
Granted the Rhino experience started bad as they didn't do the prep work correctly, and it just started pealing off... They did replace it, and did a good job the second time, but it still stinks compared to Line-X. The lineX liner is more abrasive, and when you throw a case of beer in the back of the truck, it's where you left it when you arrive at your destination. The Rhino material was barely rough, and also would come off on your hand if you rubbed against it. I hated that liner.
Can't really say anything bad about SpeedLiner. It was very aggressive as far as the grit and roughness goes, but thin, and the Line-X guy rubbed a piece of it (he had a sample of all of them) against the Line-X, and the Line-X liner sanded it down. (same for the Rhino)
I will stick with Line-X from now on. The nation wide warranty is a bonus.

The thickness issue is an issue with the installer and not the product itself. Agreed Rhino is garbage they get the most hype because the generate it with an enormous advertising budget. I used to spray SpeedLiner here and had no problems at all with any that we did, of course we sprayed them up to 1/4" thick. I started spraying again a few weeks ago and now am using QwikLiner from Ultimate Linings. This is a 100% solids material just like the Line-X and looks exactly like any of Truckgasm's pics. I went with this system due to startup costs and ease of installation, cleanup, and fast drying time (ready to walk on in minutes completely cured in 24 hours).
I looked back on the thread to see what pics I posted and didn't see any so I'll post some below.
Qwikliner is a cartridge based low pressure bedliner product. Actually, both LINE-X and Rhino have it also, but don't recommend it for bedliners, its recommended use is for small jobs or touch up jobs. Qwikliner is available to the general public, you can buy it at purepoly.com. I would say it's a definite step up from the solvent based stuff like Herculiner. The retail price of the gun is around $700, but I can get one for around $400. You'll need a small air compressor also.
I wasn't reffering to any Qwikliner pics you posted, I was saying the ones I did looked exactly like the Line-X pics you post. Now those pics you have there are pretty bad. But like the others I attribute alot of that to the person doing the application. Those looks as if they were done by someone that didn't care about their work and had the gun set up wrong. Here's a couple of pics from the Qwik's webstite and the one's I did looked like this.
If the prior owner had a trailer hitch in the bed as well as plug for trailer brake module (thus there are several holes that were drilled in bed to mount hitch and now are filled with bolts) -- what will line x dealer do to fill holes once bolts are removed?
