access lorado or truxedo lo pro

I want to put a roll cover on my truck either the lo pro or the lorado. Anyone have any personal expirences with either of these two. Also I live in Las Vegas and I was wondering if the sun would just destroy the cover or if there was something I could put on it. Any site recommendations to get one from. Thanks

well, i don't have either one on my truck; however i do sell both of them at the store that i work at. i'm not sure why, but i sell the crap out of the truxedo, but not much of the access. i know that the truxedo sits lower, and that the release handle is a little nicer. (although i still have the '08 floor sample, they may have changed the handle on the 09's)
i've never had to warranty either one of them, and i've never had any complaints about heat before. id worry more about ice than heat in all honesty.
good luck!
post pics if you get something!

I really love my Extang FullTilt!! Well worth the money. They have an excellent warranty too.

My vote is Access Lorado. However, no matter what you choose, you should keep some sort of UV protectorant on it such as 303 Aerospace, Just Once, etc.

I have been more than happy with my Truxedo Lo Pro. No issues at all.

I've never seen a Truxedo cover. I have a low profile lorado access cover on my 99 and have no complaints about it. I plan on putting another one on my 09 when it arrives in a month.

Can't go wrong with an Extang.

I know the VP of marketing of the company. He brings company vehicles and his personal vehicles to the shop I work at, so he takes care of us if we need anything for our trucks. My shop manager, and service manager both have Extang Express tonneaus on their trucks.(07 Mark LT and 08 Ram 1500) I plan on getting the same cover for my 06 F150 I just purchased. Great cover. Seals water tight, rolls up, bows and all and is secured by straps up by the cab with buckled straps.

Extang definitely gets my vote as one of the best tonneaus out there.

Great thing, buddy of mine has a 08 F150 STX flareside, and he wanted a tonneau for it. So, I call the guy I know at Extang, he says they don't have one in stock ready to go for that truck. Tells me give him a couple days, and he'll have one made. Sure enough, 2 days later, it's ready to go. Great company.

I have the truxedo cover also. I believe it has a lifetime warranty. Personally, I like it and it's not super expensive.
