also it has cracked on one of the panels which has never had any weight or stress put on it, i dont know why i did since the rest of the cover leaks excessively but i sealed the crack with silicone

After this weekend I have no doubt my Fold-A-Cover doesn't leak. I slept under it at the track in a pretty heavy Missouri thunderstorm. Winds and sideways rain for about 3 hours and never had one drop of water in it.

In Bak's defense the advertisement does say will hold evenly distributed weight. So I don't know how much you weigh but for myself 225 lbs straight down in 2 spots (ie my feet) is not according to the description.

yeah, it says evenly distributed weight, 200 pounds for the G2 and 300 pounds for the HD. The photo on Bakflip's website does show a guy standing on the cover, but after it was folded open and the guy is standing on 2 panels that are folded together.

I never saw the G2 in person, but like I said I do have the HD cover now and I really like it. It's one of the best ones I've owned (as far as looks and functionality). I have tried fiberglass hard covers, RollnLock rolling cover, and Advance folding cover in the past.

Bakflip seems to stand by their product, so you should contact them if you have problems, maybe they can do something for you even if your cover is out of warranty. I think the G2 just has a 1 year warranty but the new HD has a 2 or 3 year warranty.
