flatbed...opinions?

I want to put a cm flatbed on my truck. It is the RD style just plain flatbed with headache rack and optional underneath boxes. nothing too fancy like youd see on a 1 ton. I got a quote of $2500 for the bed, and 4 toolboxes 2 in front of the rear wheels, and 2 behind installed out the door. I basically love the looks of flatbeds and have no real reason to do it other than I could haul 2 4 wheelers instead of using a trailer, or haul the occasional round bale. What do yall think?

If it is what you want... I have only seen one half ton in my life with a flat bed... it was a regular cab 03-06 Chevy.

It doesn't sound like you would use it enough to justify the cost. It would be interesting to see though

yall are right, I wouldnt use it to justify the cost...but I just like the looks of them, and its something that ive never seen before. The only thing that worries me is how will the gap between the bed and cab look without the bed on it. and the shortbed model is still 8'4" long so I will finally have a longbed like I have been dying for! The GN hitch will be useful to me too cause I could pull our 20' lowboy with the JD or my Bronco project on it. The bronco is too wide for our 20' bumperpull, but will fit on the GN. It has been tough having to borrow my Dad's truck to take it to the shop to work on it.
