I'll play... here's my Cherokee... half liner, half paint. I had this done last summer and have been very happy with it. The mud washes right off and it's near impossible to scratch. These photos were taken a day after some serious mudding, and two weeks after getting it back from the body shop.
As for weight and wind drag, I've not really noticed anything negative since having it done.
1. The black LINE-X on the purple Jeep does not have Xtra on it and it has lost its gloss and some of the color.
or
2. That's is actually gray LINE-X Xtra to match the Jeep's gray top.
Xtra will not lose its gloss or fade. We ALWAYS use Xtra with colors. We use black Xtra 99% of the time on exterior stuff (excluding truck beds).

Dammit, why does your shop have to be so far away!?! If you were within a couple hours drive I would probably already have my rocker panels, front and rear bumper, bull bar, wheel wells and Amp Steps already line-x'd with black xtra!
I just don't really trust my local line-x shop, plus they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for just the bumpers and rocker panels. Of course that was well over a year ago, maybe I could get a better deal now that the economy isn't as good and I'd imagine they don't see as much business.
Amp Research step with LINE-X Xtra, rare, but we've done it.
This was a gray Xtra color match for...can't remember what kind of truck. The pic is not so hot either, get's out of focus toward the right. But, here you go anyway.
EDIT: Here's a LINE-X'd Amp step in black Xtra. Color matched Xtra on the rockers and threshold (which a PITA to do!)
Double dammit!! You guys have already done everything I'm looking to do, and it looks GREAT to boot!
It wouldn't surprise me to find out that my local shop has never done this kinda work. If it's not too much trouble, could you PM me a rough estimate for everything I've mentioned? Who knows, maybe I'll find a reason to go to Texas one of these days....

I had my Warn bumper LineX'ed today. They charged me $200 for the LineX and $75 for the Xtra. I didn't think it was a bad deal. Besides, I wasn't paying for it anyway.

Wow, those jeeps are awesome. If I were to go with a two toned color, I'd do Line-X for the bumpers and lower belt. Maybe in the near future? My bedliner is Line-X and it has survived everything I've thrown at it. Are those jeeps the grippy kind or hard kind of Line-X?
I was thinking about re-doing my lower tailgate. How much does Line X-Tra usually costs. Do they bake it on or something? Im curious about the process.

LINE-X dealers are franchises and are free to set their own prices. You can go to golinex.com and use the "Find a Store" function to find the dealers in your area. LINE-X is sprayed on.
