Cap from '04 to '09

I currently have a '04 150 and am seriously thinking about getting an '09. My trouble is 3 years ago I paid $1600 for a custom ordered Leer cap that I like very much. I know I will have to get the cap painted since Ford no longer offers my color. But does anyone know if the bed dimensions are the same to allow my cap to fit?

the tailgate is a little different on the 09's, it sticks out further, so it may not work...check leers site to see if the #'s are the same

I would imagine that step might have called for a longer tailgate but not sure. As said contact Leer.

well the tonneau covers are specific for the 09's, so i'm assuming the toppers won't interchange from the 04-08 to the 09 style.
