Roll up Tonneau..

I've seen a few that say "no velcro and no snaps." How exactly do these roll up soft covers work? Also, are they lockable?

Thanks for your time.

The Extang cover I have has a plastic channel along the sides that clips into the side rails. The fit is good but I bought it mainly on price.

I just installed an Extang Revolution last night. Installation was simple: maybe took a half hour. There is no velcro, snaps, or drilling. If you lock your tailgate you will have to cut it open to get into the bed. It rolls up and has build in cross-members for support.

I would advise against this type of tonneau cover. My buddy has one of the Extang "No Snaps, No Velco" kind on his 2005 FX4 and he hates it compared to my Truxedo Lo Pro.

The biggest compaint that he has is that over time the channel gets harder and harder and the cover rolls up really sloppy and loose. I have had two velco roll-up covers and I think that they are the best way to go.

There is a lifetime warranty on the extang revolution. He should send it back for a replacement.

This warranty applied to all pieces of the tonneau.

Truxedo Low Pro-QT The best cover i have ever had hands down. Well worth the money and a lifetime guerentee (sp) on the cover and velcro. Locks down and you cant get into it unless teh tailgate is open. Check it out well worth the money!

I will mention it to him.

I know it is an Extang (without snaps or velcro) but not sure if it is the Revolution model.
