Cleaning my Line-Xed bed...

Hey, I was wondering what will clean up the Line-X in the bed of my truck. I know that truckgasm on here is an installer. I have some cat litter that got wet and ran.... and some rust spots. whats the best way to get these cleaned off?

I take mine to the self service car wash. I spray it with the soap and then spray it real good with water. Mine is two years old and still looks new.

I have tried that it it didnt even dent the stains. i even got down on my hands and knees during one wash and scrubbed it nice and good with a bristle brush which worked a little better but still didnt do a whole lot.

If you have regular black LINE-X:
Clean it with automotive soap and water. Scrub it with a stiff brush. Use CLR cleaner (available at most Wallymarts and Homey Depots) if it's heavily soiled or has rust spots. Rinse thoroughly. Once clean and dry, apply some Just Once (justonce.com) or 303 Aerospace to restore some color. Now, I have heard of others using MopNGlow, carburetor cleaner, and other stuff with good results, but I've never tried those things.

If you have LINE-X Xtra:
Clean it with automotive soap and water. You probably won't have to scrub it.

none of those things will damage the bed liner or the rest of the truck?

Well, the only things I'm recommending are automotive soap and CLR. Be sure to wash the CLR off of your bedliner and truck when you are finished using it. For everything else, your on your own.

I have heard that general degreasers work well. Go to a DIY car wash and put the degreaser on the bedliner, leave it on a few minutes, and scrub the bedliner. Then rinse. That will clean it well, but maybe not the rust so put some CLR on the rust while your cleaning the bedliner at the car wash.
