Just my opinion, but the biggest problem with Vortex is looks. It's applied using only about 8 psi. Even other low pressure brands use about 100 psi. Low pressure bedliners tend to have a gouped on or "cottage cheese" look to them. High pressure bedliners are much nicer looking and have a more uniform texture. LINE-X is high pressure and applied using about 2,000 psi.
If you want Vortex, OK, but I recommend you check out the dealer's work before you let him loose on your truck. Prices vary by dealer, but no doubt Vortex will be less expensive than LINE-X. LINE-X has a nationwide lifetime warranty, Vortex does not.
I noticed the "look" you mentioned from the pictures too, and wasn't too impressed. Especially on the bed rails. Maybe if my truck were old, I wouldn't mind it, but definitely not on an 08.
TruckGasm is a Line-x dealer and knows his stuff. He has always been fair when discussing a competitor's product. If you can get your truck to Fort Worth, TX, his work is worth it.
He is not a sponser and has to be careful what he says in post. I thought I would say it for him.

It's much more difficult to apply a low pressure bedliner. You're REALLY are at the mercy of the applicator. Some applicators are going to be much better than others. High pressure bedliners are easier to apply. That doesn't mean you can't apply a nasty looking high pressure bedliner though. However, you will see much more consistancy with high pressure brands than with low pressure brands.
