line x and bedrug

Anyone know if there's a reason that i can't put the bedrug over the Line-x?
Has anyone done it?

I'm not sure how the velcro will stick to a textured surface.

that is exactly what i am planning on doing. the bedrug will be nice for when im not hauling anything and then when i need to haul.. say a load of gravel or mulch... take out the bedrug and there is my durable line-x.
