Line-x Over Chrome

So I am blacking out my entire truck and want to redo the chrome bumpers. Is it possible to have line-x with the color match put on the chrome bumpers? I could call a line-x place but its 3 in the morning ...

so you guys are all too cool to post huh? I finally got a hold of a line-x about 400 miles from where I live and here's the scoop.

$419 for the bed
$150 for the X-tra
$100 for the front bumper
$100 for the rear bumper

He said that there should be enough X-tra to cover both bumpers so there wouldn't be an additional charge.

He also said that they can coat over chrome if you take a sander to it. It different than paint because with paint you need it to be able to be sanded and smooth after to get that smooth paint look. With Lin-X not needed. This means for all you people with chrome bumpers attempted to "blackout" your trucks you now have a $200 solution to fulfilling your dream!

I am cool, because I am usually sleeping at 3 am

The coating sounds cool. Black out your bumpers, and not have to worry about scratches like you do with paint

Sounds like a great idea. There's a 98 F150 I see driving around town all the time that has the entire rockerpanels and bumpers Line-Xed and it looks great. Can't wait to see the pics.

I had my chrome factory step bars Line-X'd. They look and work great.

Be sure to get LINE-X Xtra, you'll be much happier.

It's a Chevy, but it had chrome bumpers.

The LINE-X dealer will use the factory paint code and mix the Xtra pigments to match the factory paint.

I Googled white Line-X. From what I saw they can match colors perfectly.
