Spray on w/ truck that already has dents

I spent the last 4 hours reading all these threads in this bedliner section. I think I only saw one post which addressed this question (posted several years ago), but no one actually could comment from personal experience. Many on this site seem to have a brand new flawless 40K truck that they want to baby (If I spent that much on a truck, I would also baby it! ). My truck is not a brand new 2008 Ford F150. My F150 is several years old, I bought it used, and there are already some minor dents in the truck bed. Nonetheless, I still want to get a bed liner because I do not like things moving around so easily. After reading all these posts, it seems that most believe that spray on liners like Line-X and Rhino are the way to go. My question is: How will the spray on liner look over the minor dents that are already in my bed? I know it will not "cover them up" but can anyone speak from personal experience as to how your already minorly dented bed came out after applying the spray on lining? My goal in getting a bedliner is practicality not aesthetics. Am I better off just getting a plastic bedliner because it will not conform to the shape of the dents that are already there?

I bought my truck used, and it had a minor dent in the bed along with a paint can that had been opened and poured into the middle of the bed. I got Line-X and that got rid of the giant paint can accident, though the Line-X just went right over the dent. I do not even notice the dent in daily use.

I had dents in mine but I had line x put in mine also still the way to go

I'd still Line-X it, dents and all. A friend of mine Line-X'd her Dodge truck bed with lots of dents and scratches in it. It looked lots better with the fresh bedliner. The dents are still there yes, but less noticable because of the uniform color of the liner. Do it!

Go for it. It will look great. Yep, you will still have dents, but it's a truck. You will not regret it.

Being an individual that provides the service of spray on bedliners I speak from experience. It is easier to hide dents on the floor of the bed or other horizontal surfaces because the liner has a chance to flow out before it sets up. I take the time to hammer out the dents that are easy to get to from the underside of the truck bed and wheelwells. I feel that it just makes the liner look better as a finished product. I am sure that if you visit with the individual that is performing the work they will have some suggestions as well.
