Bedrug on top of LineX?

Has anyone installed a bedrug over linex or any spray in with success? I'm wondering if it will sit okay over the spray in.

It will sit OK, the issue will be fastening the velcro. There's a couple guys that should jump in with what worked for them.

Our liner (DualLiner) fits quite well, we send a lot of liners to people doing just that.

It will fit fine although you will have to sand the texture of the line-x or take a razpr blade and shave off the textrue to smooth it down for the 3m tape to stick to it for the Bedrug velcro fasteners and use a good adhesion promoter and most important make sure the temperature is at least 60 on the surface so the tape will adhere correctly.

Just curious, why would you want to do that?

Yeah, I can see how that might be needed for you.

I have not been able to decide if I want a Bedrug or a Linex, so I was thinking of installing a Bedrug and then having it Linexed. Now I can't decide if I want some color other than black, and if I want the Ford logo.

When the truck was new I just had LineX installed just like my previous trucks. I'm been using a Rollbak with it. I'm going to replace the Rollbak with a Leer 100xq soon and want a more finished product. The Leer cap has an insulated headliner and the Bedrug looks like the perfect complement. Also, easier on the knees.

My Bedrug and the bottom of my A.R.E. cover match almost perfectly. It was not by my design but it looks good.

But it was by design by ARE. They actually promote the Bedrug and sell them as a compliment to their covers. Don't have the combo coupn right now but they may be bringing it back soon that if you go to an ARE dealer and buy the LSII or LSX together with the Bedrug you get a $100 discount.

I, too, like BlueFlareside...have the Bedrug and the ARE cap...they match perfectly....the thought of putting LineX before the Bedrug did cross my mind also....It would give more protection from moisture...which means little or no rust over the long haul...I feel the velcro would adhear to it, if the air temp is warm enough...I used industrial strength velcro from Wally World..instead of the supplied velcro...it'll never come off....good luck..

Well, it's done. Today I detailed my F150 inside and out, added a HD grille, And installed a Bedrug over my Linex. I used a 3M product called Primer 94 as an adhesion promoter and everything seems to be sticking OK. It looks great. Tomorrow it's getting a Leer 100XQ topper put on. I figure next time it's warm out I'll get a small roller and go over the velcro again.

Question

I am in a similar boat deciding on a bed liner. Is the price of a spray-on worth it over a simple rubber floor mat?

Blueflareside, I noticed you have the marks on the bedrug where the rubber stops make contact. I have the same issue on my '02 Flareside. I guess you have to compromise to get it to fit snug.

I believe you are reffering to the marks on the underside of his cover. Those aren't marks they are plastic discs with velcro on the backside for the rubber bumpstops to rest against so as not to wear the fossliner of the lid. You must have a cover bought before they started putting these on.
