camper shell **SNUGTOP 97 Extended CAB

i thought All beds were the same. I purchased a Snugtop camper shell From a fella who had a Standard Cab short bed. Now the camper shell seems to not fit all the way flush against the truck rear window. Are they that different, Any help or suggestions. thanks Sean

The beds are the same. The difference is in the back of the cab of the truck between the standard and extended cab. The cab angles are different and thus you can't interchange tops between std. and ext. cabs on fords.
